Privacy Policy
Card School · last updated 14 October 2026
Card School does not require an account and the developer does not collect, store, or receive any personal information about you. The developer receives nothing from the app at all unless you choose to share anonymous usage statistics.
What stays on your device
Your match record — wins, losses, streaks, crashes, bus rides and stick-ups — and your chosen table felt and card back are saved on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, your match record is also backed up to your own iCloud account by Apple, so it comes back if you reinstall the app or change device. Your match record itself is never sent to the developer.
Anonymous usage statistics
Sharing anonymous usage statistics is opt-in: it is off unless you agree when asked, and you can turn it on or off at any time in Settings › Privacy.
If you agree, the app sends which game you played, its settings (such as difficulty and ruleset), the result, how long the match lasted, whether multiplayer matches connected or dropped, crash summaries (the type of crash and the app version, never what was on screen), the app version, the iOS version and the device model.
These are tagged with a random identifier that is not linked to you, your Game Center account or your device's advertising identifier. A new one is made if you turn sharing off and on again, and turning it off deletes anything not yet sent.
The statistics are stored by the developer on Cloudflare in the EU region. IP addresses are not stored. Raw data is deleted after 90 days; only daily totals are kept after that. They are never sold or used for advertising or tracking.
Advertising
Card School is free and supported by ads served by Google AdMob. To show ads, Google may collect device information including advertising identifiers.
Before any ad loads you are asked for consent. In the UK and EEA you will see a consent form, and on iOS you are also asked whether apps may track you. If you decline either, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalised. You can change your tracking choice at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
Google's advertising privacy information
Game Center
If you are signed in to Game Center, your scores and achievements are sent to Apple so leaderboards and achievements work. In multiplayer matches, your Game Center name and your moves are shared with the other players through Apple's servers. This is handled entirely by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. Card School works normally if you are not signed in.
Feedback and crash reports
If the app closes unexpectedly, iOS gives Card School a technical crash report the next time you open it. It stays on your device. You can choose to email it to the developer, along with any feedback, from Settings › Help & Feedback. These emails come from your own email account, include your app version and device model, and are only sent if you tap Send. They are used only to answer you and fix problems.
Children
Card School is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them.
